Now this is the epiphamy of zombie games. Over the past few days I've had the horror of playing the L4D demo. Now I dont say horror as a bad thing, I say it as the word is truly defined. What makes this game stand out above all the other wave fighting games is that while you do have to fight hordes of zombies, you have to do so while moving from point a to b. The game offers 4 player coop at all times. That means if just 1 person wants to play it throws in 3 AI to help. One mode in the full version allows the killed players to become zombies themselves and attack and kill their once team mates. They also get to control many other fellow zombies. Think of yourself as a zombie commander. Its a pretty simple yet well made game overall. The story is nonexistant and gameplay is pushed forward simply trying to survive. Another drawback on the story is that from the demo leads me to believe its quite short. To make up for the shortness the game offers a few different game modes and completely different enemy configurations you move through a level. I think it would be a blast at parties with the guy next to you frantically trying to run away screaming, "Help me! Help me!". This game is nothing less then another Valve masterpiece. I recommend this as at least a defenite rental.
