So Windows 7 has been out since the 22nd. Do you have it yet? Apparently I could of gotten it in August with my schools MSDNAA program which gives students free Microsoft stuff covered by tuition. Thank you computer science department not letting me know :|. Anyway, I managed to download Windows 7 Professional 64 bit from the school MSDNAA 30 minutes before I got the email with the link to my $30 student upgrade version, so now I'm stuck with a 64 bit home premium with no home. Anyone have a suggestion? I'll probably stick it on my old desktop at home and dual boot it with Ubuntu.
Anyway, WIndows 7 is great. I've been using the RC since its release in May with great zeal. However it's been so long since I've used a Vista computer I can't really talk about much in terms of improvement as I can't remember anything from vista. Reviews are pouring in talking about how superior it is to every Windows OS to date.
Even Linux Torvald, one of the founding fathers of linux gives his approval. Anyway, enough of my pro windows propaganda, you simply have to see it for yourself and make your own decision. Either way in my opinion I believe Windows 7 to be a huge step up compared with past operating systems by Microsoft and I hope they can keep it up.
